The Higgledy Pig is one of those Robin Hood's Bay finds that makes a village wander feel even better. Tucked into the lower part of the Bay, this quirky little shop is packed with gifts, fossils, craft beer and Yorkshire-made bits that are much more fun than the usual seaside tat. Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone browses.
It suits that lovely holiday moment where the dog is sniffing doorways, the humans are "just having a quick look," and suddenly someone is buying treats, homeware, or something wonderfully unnecessary. Small and characterful, it is a great browse stop when the paws need a slower pace but nobody is quite ready to head back yet.
Properly Bay, properly quirky, and a cheerful rummage break that keeps paws and people together on a village day out.
Good to know:

Free treats available

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside, so everyone can browse the quirky finds together. Just keep excitement levels below tiny seaside tornado and paws on the floor.
