Days Out Are For Dogs Too

The Highland Bookshop is an independent bookshop right on Fort William High Street, where dogs are welcome inside to browse alongside their owners. It's the sort of place you can wander into during a town-centre stop without worrying about leaving anyone outside tied to a lamp post.
The shop is sometimes dog friendly and the policy is wonderfully straightforward: very well-behaved dogs often get a little treat at the till. It's a nice nod to the four-paws who've managed not to knock over the Scottish fiction display.
You'll find the shop in the heart of Fort William's pedestrianised shopping run, making it easy to add to a rainy-day browse or a post-walk mooch around town. Nearby paid parking is available at Middle Street and Viewforth car parks and there's a disabled bay next door.
