The Knight Shop is a historical gift shop on Castle Square in Conwy, housed in Vardre Hall — a 19th-century Grade II listed building directly opposite Conwy Castle. Dogs are welcome inside, so you can browse armour, swords, medieval gifts and local souvenirs together without tying your dog to a railing in the rain.
Open seven days a week, 10am to 5pm, the shop stocks replica swords, helmets and armour spanning Viking, Roman and medieval eras, alongside mead, jewellery and seasonal giftware. Its castle-side position makes it a natural stop during a day exploring Conwy's walls and harbour, with no splitting up or looping back needed.
Conwy is packed with dog-friendly spots and this one sits right at the centre of it all — a distinctive, visitor-useful shop where dogs and their people can browse the stone-floored interior together while the castle keeps watch outside.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Free treats available
Doggy menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside the shop, so nobody has to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone else handles the swords.
