The Lingholm Kitchen & Walled Garden is a lakeside estate café and walled garden just outside Keswick, reached via Portinscale about 1.5 miles from town. Dogs are welcome inside the café and throughout the walled garden and estate grounds, making it a genuinely paws-included stop on a northern Lakes day out. The estate also has an outdoor gallery and lake-edge paths to explore.
The café is open daily from 9am to 4.30pm, with hot food served until 3.30pm. There is a pay-and-display car park for café customers, with a partial refund available when you spend in the café — handy for arrival logistics. No booking is needed for breakfast, lunch or coffee, though afternoon tea requires advance booking via the Lingholm website.
The walled garden is the kind of place where a lead-happy dog can mooch alongside you through the planting, paths and lake views. Dogs must stay on the lead throughout the estate and walled garden, which keeps things calm for everyone sharing the space.
