The Lingholm Kitchen & Walled Garden is a managed lakeside estate destination just outside Keswick, where dogs are welcome inside the cafe and throughout the walled garden and estate grounds. Expect a walled garden, outside gallery, cafe and lake-edge setting, all accessible with a dog on lead. It's about 1.5 miles from Keswick via Portinscale, making it a handy paws-included stop when planning a dog-friendly day out in the northern Lakes.
The cafe welcomes well-behaved dogs inside, so everyone can settle in together after a wander around the gardens. There's a pay-and-display car park for cafe customers with a partial refund available when you buy something, which helps with arrival logistics.
The walled garden itself is the sort of place where a lead-happy dog can mooch alongside you while you take in the planting, paths and lake views. Dogs must stay on the lead throughout the estate and walled garden, which keeps things calm for other visitors.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside the cafe and throughout the walled garden and estate grounds, but they need to stay on the lead the whole time to keep things calm for everyone.
