The Market Tavern in Alnwick is a town-centre pub for hearty meals and a proper treat night. Dogs are welcome inside, which means nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone else orders.

It's a good shout when you want something substantial and you're in the mood for "let's make an evening of it" rather than "we should probably just go home". For dog owners, daytime or early evening is the sweet spot—calmer vibes and more space for paws under the table.

Later on it can get busier, so if your dog prefers cosy over crowded, earlier visits work best. A solid option when you want good food and your dog wants to be part of the plan.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Free treats available

Doggy menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside, especially earlier in the day or early evening when it's calmer. Later on it can get busier, so if your pup prefers quieter vibes, stick to the daytime slots.
