Right on the edge of Cox’s Meadow, this is one of those cafés that feels like it was designed with dog walks in mind. You’ve got open green space on your doorstep, the kind of place where leads get muddy, noses get busy, and then everyone piles into the café for a well-earned reset.

Inside, it’s bright, friendly, and properly community-led, with a steady rhythm of walkers, cyclists, locals and “we just popped out for a quick coffee” that somehow turned into bagels and cake. It’s independent, family-run, and built around that simple idea of good coffee, good food, and a warm welcome that doesn’t feel forced.

The menu leans into easy wins done well. Think stacked bagels, homemade cakes, proper coffee, and plenty of options for different diets, including vegan and gluten-free choices. You can sit inside, grab a takeaway, or head straight back out to the meadow with something warm in hand.

It’s the kind of place where the walk and the café aren’t separate plans… they’re one long, slightly chaotic, very good idea.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside and out, with prime post-walk café flop energy encouraged. Expect muddy paws, hopeful noses and the general cosy chaos of dogs pretending they definitely haven’t already had a treat.

Seen this?  It marks our Recommended Partners - places that go that bit further, so dogs feel properly welcome (and you can actually relax)
