One of Cambridge’s most iconic riverside pubs, sitting right on the edge of the Cam overlooking Laundress Green. This is the kind of spot where the view does a lot of the work — punts lining the water, rowers drifting past, and that constant hum of people slowing down by the river.

Inside, it’s full of traditional charm — wood-panelled rooms, cosy corners, and a strong line-up of well-kept real ales that give it proper pub credibility. Outside is where things really stretch out, with space to take your drink down towards the grass or settle in by the Mill Pond and let the afternoon unfold.

Perfect for post-walk resets that accidentally become the main event. Dogs are very much part of the setup here too, making it an easy, no-fuss stop when you want river views, a good pint, and somewhere you won’t be rushing away from anytime soon.

Dog Policy:

Dogs welcome inside on lead. Mind crowds near the river and entrances.
