The Monkseaton Arms is a large pub just inland from Whitley Bay seafront, serving food throughout the day and dogs welcome inside the bar area. It's a proper pause-point after the coast path or a metro-and-paws expedition, with enough space to settle in without blocking the gangway.

Food is served where your dog sits, so the whole group can eat together without anyone being exiled to a separate room. Staff bring water for dogs and the bar-area welcome means you're not squeezed into a corner or waiting for a mythical dog table.

Open Monday to Friday 11am–11pm, Saturday 11am–midnight and Sunday midday–11pm, it's a handy all-week option when you need a meal and your dog needs to get out of the wind. No fuss, no separate rules, just a straightforward Whitley Bay pub that knows dogs and their people usually travel as a unit.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome in the bar area, where food is served and staff bring water. The lounge is off-limits, but nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle when the bar has tables, meals and a proper welcome.
