The New Bookshop is an independent bookshop with a coffee shop in the heart of Cockermouth and dogs are welcome inside. You can browse the shelves with your dog at your side, then settle in together at the breakfast bar in the café for coffee and cake. The coffee shop serves food and drinks Monday to Friday 9:30am–3:30pm and Saturday 9:30am–4pm.
Dogs can join you at the breakfast bar seating, so there's no need to leave anyone outside while you refuel. It's the kind of stop where everyone gets what they need: a sniff around the ground floor, a flat white and a slice of something good.
