The Old Spring in Cambridge is a relaxed gastropub tucked away on Ferry Path, close to the River Cam and the De Freville area. It has that easy "walk, pint, food, done properly" feel, with wooden floors, cosy pub corners and a comfortable dining space that works just as well for a quick drink as it does for a proper meal.

Food is a big part of the appeal here, with a menu that mixes pub favourites, Greek-inspired dishes and pizza, so it has more range than your average pint-and-crisps stop. It's casual, welcoming and nicely placed for anyone exploring Cambridge with the dog in tow, especially if your day involves a riverside wander and the inevitable "shall we just stop somewhere?" moment.

Dogs are welcome inside, which makes The Old Spring a useful Cambridge stop when you want somewhere warm, comfortable and properly pubby without leaving the dog out of the plan. There's also outdoor space for brighter days, but the real win is knowing your dog can come in with you when the weather does its little British theatre routine.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle. Just keep paws close and respectful of other guests while you're enjoying the pub.
