You’ll spot our Recommended Partner badge on some listings (opposite the venue name)

That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

You'll find it directly opposite Priory Park, a handy spot for a post-walk pint or a midday meal when you've been circling the cathedral quarter with a curious spaniel in tow. That straightforward access is the detail that turns a quick drink or meal into a genuine break for the whole group.

Food is served throughout the week and the whole crew can stay together inside the pub. It's the sort of place that works for a quick lunch stop or a longer session when the dog's already had their park time and is ready to sleep under the table. Open Monday to Saturday from midday until 11pm and Sunday midday to 9pm.

Paid parking is available nearby in the town centre and the pub's location makes it a practical base for exploring the cathedral area and Priory Park without splitting up the party.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Free treats available

Doggy menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside the pub, so nobody has to volunteer for pavement duty while the rest of the group enjoys their meal.
