The Pear Tree

The Pear Tree is a central Cardiff pub on Albany Road where dogs are welcome inside the bar area. It's a proper settled-in sort of place: drinks flowing, kitchen open daily and your dog tucked under the table while you sort out the next leg of a city-centre wander. Food is served in the same dog-friendly bar space, with the kitchen running every day.

Monday to Thursday it's 12 noon until 8pm, Friday stretches to 9pm and weekends bring breakfast service from 9am through to 9pm. The pub itself opens at 9am most days and stays open until 11pm Sunday to Thursday, midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

It's handy for dog walks around the central Cardiff visitor area and the sort of pub where you can regroup with a pint, let the dog supervise proceedings from floor level and actually eat something without leaving anyone outside. A reliable pit-stop when you need everyone under one roof.
