The Perch is one of Oxford's great pub classics, and for dog owners it's especially rewarding because of where it sits. Just a short walk from the Isis and Port Meadow, this historic thatched pub pairs traditional charm with one of the city's most admired gardens, making it a natural finish line after a proper leg stretch. Dogs are welcome in all areas, including the restaurant.
The setting does a lot of the heavy lifting, but the food and terrace mean the stop itself more than holds up. Water bowls are ready, a doggy menu is on offer, and treats are available to purchase, so nobody needs to feel guilty about the hopeful staring.
It's an Oxford institution for good reason, and one that fully leans into being dog friendly too. A very easy "yes, we're staying for one" kind of stop.
Good to know:

Free treats available
