The Perch is one of Oxford’s great pub classics, and for dog owners it’s especially rewarding because of where it sits. Just a short walk from the Isis and Port Meadow, this historic pub pairs its traditional thatched building with one of the city’s most admired gardens, making it a natural finish line after a proper leg stretch.
The setting does a lot of the heavy lifting, but the food and terrace mean the stop itself more than holds up.
It’s an Oxford institution for good reason, and one that fully leans into being dog friendly too. Dogs are welcome in all areas of the pub, including the restaurant, with water bowls ready, a doggy menu on offer, and treats available to purchase. A very easy “yes, we’re staying for one” kind of stop. 🐾
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Dog menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome in all areas of the pub, including the restaurant, with water bowls ready, a doggy menu on offer, and treats available to purchase. Just keep them relaxed and restaurant-ready so everyone can enjoy the space. 🐾
