The Pineapple is a historic National Trust for Scotland folly set in walled gardens and surrounding grounds east of Stirling. Dogs are welcome throughout the walled garden and the wider landscape, which includes a viewing platform overlooking the pond. It's a compact, quietly unusual heritage destination for a short outing with your dog.

The site is open all year, daily and makes a satisfying detour if you're exploring Stirlingshire with a four-footer in tow. The folly itself is a striking 18th-century stone pineapple pavilion that sits above the garden and the grounds offer gentle paths and seasonal interest without demanding a full day's commitment. Limited on-site car parking is available and it's free for National Trust for Scotland members.

Take care on the access road when you arrive. This is a grounds-only visit, so plan accordingly if you're after indoor shelter or refreshments with your dog.
