The Red House in Aldeburgh is a major heritage and arts destination where composer Benjamin Britten once lived. Visitors can explore the historic house, gardens, archive, exhibitions and events. It's the kind of place you can spend a full morning or afternoon discovering.

Free parking is available on site. Dogs on leads are welcome in the outdoor areas and gardens, though only assistance Dogs are welcome inside the house and other indoor spaces. It's a proper heritage day out with your dog in tow, ideal for a stroll through the grounds after exploring Aldeburgh town centre.

The Red House opens Thursday to Sunday, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. It's a useful addition to an Aldeburgh visit when you want a heritage experience beyond the beach and want your dog included in at least part of the day.
