The Rorkes Drift is a lively town pub on Wheat Street in the centre of Brecon and dogs are welcome inside. It's a proper locals' spot with a warm atmosphere, pulling in regulars and visitors who'd rather keep the whole crew together than leave anyone tied up outside.
Food is served in the dog-friendly bar area, so your four-paws can supervise proceedings from under the table while you settle in with a drink and a meal. A water bowl is often provided for thirsty arrivals.
The pub opens Monday to Wednesday from 11am to 11pm, Thursday 11am to midnight, Friday 11am to 2am, Saturday 11am to 3am and Sunday from noon to 10pm. It's a useful stop for dog owners passing through Brecon's centre, especially when the weather turns or you need somewhere to regroup mid-walk.
