That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Rose Oxford is a High Street tea room with a classic city-centre position and a menu built around breakfast, lunch and, crucially, tea. That makes it a very handy stop during a dog-friendly wander through central Oxford, especially when a calmer sit-down is needed between all the sightseeing.
The tea-room setting gives it a softer, more old-fashioned charm than a standard grab-and-go café. For a gentler pause in the middle of the city, it fits beautifully.
Good to know:

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome, so tea-room pauses can stay gloriously inclusive. Best for a pup who can handle a gentler café setting with excellent manners and only a modest interest in passing scones. I could not verify a more specific official policy from the venue’s own page.
