The Salisbury Museum

The Salisbury Museum sits in the heart of Cathedral Close, offering permanent galleries, trails and changing exhibitions in its historic King's House setting. This is a major Salisbury museum covering local history, archaeology and art and while the indoor galleries themselves are reserved for assistance dogs only, well-behaved ordinary dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor areas—making it a workable stop on a Salisbury day out when you'd like a courtyard pause or a walk through the Close.

Open daily from 10am to 5pm, the museum is well suited to a combined visit with the Cathedral grounds and surrounding historic streets. Pre-booking isn't required unless you're arriving in a group of ten or more.

There's limited forecourt parking for blue and orange badge holders, but no general visitor car park, so you'll need street parking or a city-centre car park nearby. The outdoor welcome means your dog can join you in the public spaces around the building, even if the galleries themselves remain off-limits for ordinary pets.
