The Saracens Head in Hereford is a dog-friendly pub where dogs are welcome inside, so everyone can settle in together for local ales, ciders and pub food. Reopened in September 2025 as an ale and cider house, it serves beers from nearby Golden Wake plus guest ales and up to five local ciders. The terrace bar offers what the pub calls the best view in Hereford, useful for those who prefer outdoor seating with their pint and paws.
Food is served Wednesday to Saturday from noon until 8pm, with Sunday roasts available from 12:30pm to 4pm. The pub is open seven days a week for drinks, making it a practical spot whether you're planning a weekend roast or just stopping in for a pint and a sniff around the riverside location.
Dogs are welcome inside on a lead, so nobody needs to split up or hover by the door. It's the kind of pub where you can bring your four-legged co-pilot, enjoy a drink by the River Wye, and let them supervise the snacks from floor level.
