The Ship Tavern is a community pub right in the centre of Whitley Bay on Whitley Road, with dogs welcome inside throughout the week.
It’s the kind of straightforward neighbourhood spot where you can settle in for a pint without leaving anyone on the pavement, and the whole group can relax together while your dog supervises proceedings from under the table. The pub is open seven days a week, from 11am daily through to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
