The café has built a loyal following for generous breakfasts, friendly service and a properly dog-friendly atmosphere. Visitors regularly mention bringing their dogs along and the relaxed indoor setting makes it easy to refuel before or after exploring the town.

It's handy for the harbour, riverside and town-centre wander and the central location means you can get an early start without driving out. The Singing Kettle closes on Sundays and shuts up shop at noon the rest of the week, so timing matters if you're planning a late lunch.
