The Star Inn

The Star Inn is a friendly village pub in Talybont-on-Usk, a short drive from Brecon and right on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal. Dogs are welcome inside the bar, so you can settle in together at the table without the pavement shuffle. It also removes the familiar doorway calculation over who waits outside with the dog while everyone else heads in.

Food is served and water bowls are available. Open Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from noon until 10pm and Saturday noon to 11pm. That straightforward access is the detail that turns a quick drink or meal into a genuine break for the whole group.

Closed Wednesday and Thursday.
