The Tankerton Arms is a compact micropub on Tankerton Road, just a short walk from Whitstable Castle and the seafront. Dogs are welcome inside, making it a reliably snug stop when the coastal wind picks up or the Tankerton Slopes walk calls for a quieter pint at the end.
The bar focuses on well-kept local real ales, ciders, gins and wines, with bar snacks including local cheeses, scotch eggs, crisps and nuts. Open Tuesday to Thursday noon until 9.30pm, Friday and Saturday noon until 10.30pm and Sunday noon until 9.30pm. Closed Mondays.
A small space with a loyal following, it suits dogs who are happy to settle under the table while their humans work through a changing lineup of Kentish ales. Paws, people and a proper coastal wind-down, all under one roof.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Free treats available
Doggy menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle. Settle under the table and enjoy the ales — the Tankerton Arms has form as a haven for pub-loving pooches.
