The Tea Cottage is a dog-friendly tearoom on the Bolton Abbey estate in Skipton, serving breakfast, lunch and homemade cakes in a setting close to the Priory ruins and riverside paths. Dogs are welcome inside, so the whole group can settle in together for a full cooked breakfast, a proper lunch or a mid-walk slice of cake and pot of tea.
Food is served from 10am until 3pm daily, with the tearoom open until 4pm. The menu includes hot breakfasts, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and a tempting cake counter.
Reviewers praise the warm welcome and quality of the food and the Bolton Abbey location makes it a natural refuelling stop during a day exploring the estate. Whether you're starting your day with bacon and eggs or arriving muddy and damp after a river walk, this is the kind of place where nobody minds a dog under the table and everyone understands the relief of keeping the pack together.
