The Terrace Tapas and Wine Bar in Ilfracombe is a brilliant way to make your trip feel a bit fancy, even if your dog's idea of dressing for dinner is simply looking pleased with themselves. Dogs are welcome inside in the conservatory and bar area, and outside on the terrace, so everyone can stay together whatever the North Devon weather has planned.

Expect small plates made for sharing, a relaxed atmosphere and the kind of setting that encourages slow sipping and chatting rather than inhaling dinner between walks. Open Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm to 9:30pm, tapas is also ideal for dog owners because you can pace yourself while your pup performs their most emotionally convincing "I haven't eaten in days" routine.

Dogs receive a properly thoughtful welcome too, with blankets, water bowls and a tray of mini Bonios provided for every visiting pooch. It's perfect for an evening treat after a day of coastal exploring, when the dog is pleasantly tired and everyone is ready to settle in for good food and one more plate than originally intended.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside in the conservatory and bar area, or on the outside terrace. Book a table in a dog-friendly area, and expect blankets and treats as standard, which is the kind of service that makes pavement-waiting entirely unnecessary.
