That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Tin Hut Café has that tucked-away, refuel-and-reset energy where finding it feels like a small victory and staying longer than planned feels almost inevitable. Tucked beside the river with a slower, post-walk kind of rhythm, it’s the sort of stop where muddy boots dry out under tables, coffee arrives exactly when needed and dogs quickly realise this isn’t a “quick drink and go” situation.
There’s a warmth to the place that goes beyond the menu too. Water bowls are always ready, free treats usually appear from behind the counter, and plenty of regular four-legged visitors already know the unofficial favourite order: a “dog sausage”, chopped up and served properly in its own little enamel bowl like the VIP snack it clearly is. Outside, dogs can keep watch over the ducks drifting along the river, which is either peaceful enrichment or complete emotional chaos depending on how exciting duck patrol becomes that day. Either way, nobody seems in a rush to leave.
