The Twelve Taps is a craft beer and gin bar in the centre of Whitstable, where dogs are welcome inside on leads. There's no food service, so this is purely a drinks stop, but that makes it ideal for a short break between the harbour and the High Street without the complication of meal timings. The bar focuses on a rotating selection of craft beers and gins and the atmosphere is lively rather than lounge-style.

Dogs on leads can settle at your feet while you work through the taps and nobody has to volunteer for pavement duty. You'll find The Twelve Taps on the High Street, handy for splitting up a longer wander around town.

Opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday 5pm–10.30pm, Friday 5pm–11.30pm, Saturday 2pm–11.30pm and Sunday 2pm–9pm. The bar is closed on Mondays.
