The Wheatsheaf Inn is a Grade II-listed riverside pub on the banks of the River Severn in Worcester, where dogs are welcome inside. It sits in the St John's area with direct access to the riverside path, making it a natural landing spot after a walk along the water — muddy paws and all.
The pub serves food in the dog-friendly indoor area, with opening hours from late afternoon through to 11pm Monday to Thursday, from 2pm on Fridays and from midday at weekends. Regular and changing ales are on tap, and the rear balcony offers views down the Severn to the Cathedral for anyone who wants to take the outside option.
No long list of dog extras here — just a genuinely welcoming local that keeps things simple and does them well. Exactly what you need when the plan revolves around the dog and a decent pint.
Good to know:

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside, including the dining area, so the whole group can settle in together after a riverside walk — no pavement-waiting required.
