The The Whitby Way is one of those easy, welcoming pubs that works perfectly when you just want to settle in after wandering Whitby’s streets. Just a short stroll from the station, it’s a lively, friendly spot with that classic “pop in for one and stay a while” energy, often with live music and a proper local buzz.

Dogs are very welcome here and quickly realise they can properly settle in, not just perch politely but fully flop across your ankles and claim the moment as their own. There are water bowls ready and free treats for all the fur babies, with a genuinely open-door approach that means they’re welcome at any time, no restrictions.

It’s the kind of place where both you and your dog can relax into the background hum of a good pub, with just enough liveliness to keep things interesting and just enough comfort to make leaving feel like a bit of an effort 🐾

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

It’s one of those places where the welcome feels easy and natural, but with a bit of thoughtful care behind it too. On Fridays and Saturday evenings it can get busier, so they may ask you to sit in the room to the right to keep things calm and avoid any excited tail-related chaos. A small ask that keeps everything safe, relaxed, and exactly how a dog-friendly visit should feel 🐾
