The Yard Coffee is a busy independent coffee shop on Red Lion Street in Norwich city centre, close to the railway station and the main shopping quarter. Dogs are welcome inside the café, where you'll find plenty of seating, a relaxed atmosphere and a loyal local following. The menu runs from breakfast through to mid-afternoon, with food served until 3pm most days and a kitchen that keeps pace with the long opening hours.

Coffee, cakes and light bites are the mainstay and water bowls and free dog treats are laid on as standard. The café is open late into the evening Monday to Thursday and runs 24 hours on Fridays, making it one of the more flexible dog-friendly spots in the city.

It's a practical choice for a post-train caffeine stop, a shopping break with the dog in tow, or a longer sit-down when you need to regroup. The welcome extends to all well-behaved dogs and the vibe is informal enough that nobody minds a lead draped over a chair or a nose watching the cake counter.
