Thorpe Ferry Cafe is a dog-friendly cafe by the River Yare near Whitlingham and Thorpe Marshes, on the edge of Norwich. Dogs are welcome inside, so you can settle in together for a proper sit-down break without leaving anyone outside to guard the bag.
The cafe serves food and drinks alongside a special doggy menu, making it a practical stop when the walk has stretched on and the table supervisor is looking expectant. The cafe opens Monday then Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm and closes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Thorpe Ferry is also dog-friendly, so if you fancy crossing the river with your dog in tow, the whole setup is designed with you in mind. It's a handy riverside destination that works as a destination walk or a refuelling stop when you've been exploring the marshes.
