Tintinhull Garden is a compact National Trust garden near Yeovil, within easy reach of Wells, where lawns, pools and borders are arranged into secluded garden rooms. Dogs are welcome in most areas on a short lead, making it a manageable and genuinely rewarding outing for quiet dogs who can walk calmly past ornamental planting. The atmosphere is peaceful and the scale is easy to cover without tiring anyone out.
The Kitchen Garden and Arboretum are assistance-dogs-only, so plan your route accordingly if you prefer to see the whole property. The majority of the garden remains open to dogs and the layout means you won't feel shortchanged by the exclusions. On-site parking is available, which saves the usual roadside shuffle with bags and leads.
Open daily from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tintinhull Garden offers a straightforward garden day out with your dog. There's no need to book and National Trust members enter free. It's the sort of visit that suits a calm morning or a low-key afternoon when the dog needs variety without overstimulation.
