That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Toll House Inn is a classic Lancaster stop that manages to feel both grown-up and cosy, which is a rare balance when you’ve got a dog trying to audition for “most charming floor ornament”. Down in the bar, dogs are welcome, so you can pop in for a pint, a hearty plate, and a warm corner to thaw out after city exploring. The kitchen leans into proper comfort food done well, with seasonal touches when you’re feeling fancy.
It’s also a handy base right in town if you’re visiting, with rooms upstairs for an easy overnighter. If you’re planning to stay, it’s worth checking the pet rules for accommodation, but for food and bar time your pup can absolutely come along. Expect smiles, not side-eye.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome in the bar area, but the dining-only spaces are dog-free. Please keep your dog from jumping up, pestering other guests (or their pets), or barking, and make sure they’re clean and dry before coming in.
