Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

Trengwainton Garden is a National Trust estate just outside Falmouth, with walled gardens, a productive orchard, sea views and a good-sized visitor site that works as a proper half-day or longer day out. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the garden grounds and can come into the main shop too, which keeps everyone together while browsing Cornish gifts, local treats and second-hand books. The café and bookshop remain assistance-dogs-only inside, but the café garden is dog-friendly.
Parking is available on site and the estate layout gives you room to explore without herding a curious nose through tight indoor spaces. The lead-only rule keeps things straightforward across the garden areas, so there is less guesswork about where paws are actually allowed.
Trengwainton makes a useful addition to the wider Falmouth and west Cornwall visitor circuit, especially when you want something more substantial than a quick park wander. The combination of outdoor access, browsing together in the shop and café garden seating means the day holds together well, even when the weather turns theatrical.
