Ufton Fields Nature Reserve

Ufton Fields Nature Reserve is a wildlife-rich corner of the Warwickshire countryside near Southam, managed for its orchid meadows, hedgerows and seasonal birdlife. A circular waymarked trail loops through the reserve, offering year-round access for walkers and their dogs who appreciate a quieter, habitat-focused outing.

Dogs are welcome on lead throughout the reserve. The lead-only rule protects ground-nesting birds and the delicate grassland that makes Ufton Fields a draw for naturalists, so it's one to leave the extendable at home.

There are no visitor facilities on site, but the car park is open 24 hours for daytime visits—overnight parking isn't permitted. Located just over six miles from Warwick, the reserve sits within easy reach for a morning sniff-and-spot session or a midweek escape when you want space, birdsong and a proper excuse to stand still while your dog investigates every scent marker on the trail.
