Victory Wood is a 140-hectare Woodland Trust destination on the edge of the Blean complex, just outside Whitstable. Dogs are welcome to explore the woodland and path network, with surfaced access routes and historical features woven into the trees. It's proper woodland day-out territory, not just a quick loop and the official free car park at the site entrance has space for 15 cars.
The woodland is open all year round and dogs can join you for as long a ramble as the weather and their legs allow. There's a multi-user route that welcomes horses in spring and summer, so expect the occasional hoof-print alongside the paw-prints during those months.
This is outdoor access only—no indoor visitor areas are confirmed for dogs—but with this much woodland on your doorstep, you won't be short of sniff breaks or space to let a lead out. It's close enough to Whitstable and Canterbury to make a proper escape without the long drive.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Free treats available
Doggy menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome throughout the woodland and path network. This is outdoor access only; keep to the site rules and paths.
