Warkworth Castle is a dramatic riverside ruin with big views, proper history, and a walk-around feel that makes it an excellent “stretch our legs” mission. You’ll get that satisfying mix of exploring, scenery, and the occasional moment of standing still pretending you’re in a period drama.

Dogs are welcome on leads, and it’s an outdoor wander rather than an “inside venue” situation. Keep pups close, take care near edges, and prepare for your dog to treat every single interesting smell like it’s part of the official tour
