Wellington Farm Café & Tearooms

Wellington Farm Café & Tearooms is a welcoming farm café on the western edge of the Lakes, serving breakfasts, lunches and homemade cakes in a light, relaxed tearoom with fell views. Dogs are welcome inside, so you can settle in together over a pot of tea and a slice of cake while your dog takes up their usual spot under the table.

The café is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4.30pm and weekends until 5pm, with food served until 4pm weekdays and 4.30pm Saturday and Sunday. The farm also runs a small visitor animal enclosure on site, making it a handy combination stop when you're touring Cockermouth and the north-western Lakes with a dog in tow.

It's the kind of place that works for a mid-morning coffee or a proper sit-down lunch without needing to leave anyone outside. Well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout the tearoom and the farm setting means there's usually a bit of space and a forgiving attitude to muddy paws and lead tangles.
