Wells Beach Café is a proper seaside café right by the beach at Wells-next-the-Sea and dogs are welcome inside so you can both settle in after a windswept walk along the dunes. It's run by the Holkham Estate and sits just where the pine-lined path meets the sand, making it a natural stop between the town and the coast. The indoor seating means you're not at the mercy of the North Norfolk weather and the café serves hot drinks, ice creams and food daily from 10 a.m.

until 5 p.m. Expect everything from coffee and cake to loaded fries and burgers, with puppuccinos, doggy ice creams and treats available for your table supervisor. The menu leans into easy beach-day fuel and the Bark Up Bar is a nice touch for thirsty dogs.

It's about a mile from Wells town centre, so most visitors drive or walk in via the coastal path. The café gets busy on sunny days, but it's well loved for being genuinely dog-friendly and reliably open year-round.
