Whey Pat Tavern is a dog-friendly pub on Bridge Street in the centre of St Andrews, where dogs are welcome inside alongside their humans. Food is served daily until 9.30 pm, so you can settle in for lunch or an early dinner without leaving anyone outside.

The pub is open from noon until midnight Sunday to Thursday and until 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays, making it a reliable spot for a post-walk pint or a meal after exploring the town. Dogs need to be kept on lead in the indoor seating areas and the pub follows the official dog-friendly policy for designated Belhaven venues.

Bridge Street is handy for a town-centre stroll and the pub's central location means you can drop in without backtracking. There's no on-site parking, but its position makes it easy to reach on foot during a day out in St Andrews.
