The main car park uses pay-on-exit charging, though car-free arrival is free and the summer bus route 77/77A runs between Keswick and Whinlatter for those who prefer to leave the car behind. Ground-nesting bird notices and the forest dog code apply, but that is standard countryside sense rather than anything restrictive.
