Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Williamson Park is a 54-acre parkland sitting on the southern edge of Lancaster, home to the landmark Ashton Memorial, sweeping lawns, woodland paths and tropical attractions including the Butterfly House and Mini Zoo. Dogs are welcome across the park grounds, making it a generous stretch for on-lead exploring, sniff circuits and proper leg-stretchers with views over Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland fells.
Your dog can join you through the outdoor areas and around the memorial terraces and the official access statement confirms they're also welcome in the park café and shop. They're not allowed inside the Butterfly House or Mini Zoo, so plan your animal-attraction visits accordingly if you're touring the paid zones.
Two pay-and-display car parks serve the site from Quernmore Road and Wyresdale Road, with disabled badge spaces available. The grounds are free to visit, the memorial is open most days and the whole park makes for an excellent Lancaster day out when you want greenery, history and somewhere the dog can stretch without leaving town.
