A huge National Trust estate just outside Cambridge that’s built for proper, all-day exploring with the dog. Think sweeping parkland, long walking routes, and that “we’ll just do a loop” energy that quietly turns into hours. It’s less quick stop, more full reset in open countryside.

There’s loads of space to roam on lead, with well-marked paths and plenty to keep things interesting — from woodland stretches to wide open grassland where the dog can take in every scent going. It’s an easy one to tailor to your pace, whether you’re out for a gentle wander or a full leg-stretching walk.

You’ve also got solid pit-stop options, with the Stables Café welcoming dogs inside and out, plus outdoor terrace seating at the Old Rectory Restaurant. A proper “day out with the dog” kind of place — fresh air, big skies, and no rush to leave.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome year-round but must be kept on a short lead at all times due to livestock. They are allowed in the parkland, visitor welcome building, and at the Stables Café (inside and out), but not in the Hall, Gardens, Home Farm, or inside the Old Rectory Restaurant.

Seen this?  It marks our Recommended Partners - places that go that bit further, so dogs feel properly welcome (and you can actually relax)
