Witley Court and Gardens

Witley Court and Gardens is a spectacular English Heritage site near Worcester where dogs on leads are welcome to explore 40 acres of grounds, paths, woodland and formal gardens alongside the dramatic ruined mansion. The colossal Perseus and Andromeda fountain, woodland trails, lakeside walks and wilderness areas make it a genuinely varied heritage day out, and your dog gets to enjoy every outdoor corner of it.

On-site parking is available and English Heritage confirms there is no off-site parking, so arrive directly to the venue. Opening hours vary by season — the site runs daily 10am–5pm from late March to late October, with reduced 10am–4pm hours and limited days through winter; check the English Heritage website for the current schedule before visiting. Advance booking online offers a discount, though tickets can also be bought on the day.

Dogs must stay on a lead at all times across the grounds, and dog bowls and a dog bin are provided on site. The scale and variety here — from the grandeur of the ruin itself to quiet woodland paths — mean there is plenty to sniff, see and wander through, making it an excellent choice when you want a proper heritage outing that genuinely includes your dog.
