Wollaton Hall & Deer Park

Wollaton Hall is a grand Elizabethan mansion set in 500 acres of parkland and deer park just west of central Nottingham. The hall houses Nottingham's Natural History Museum, while the grounds offer wide open spaces, formal gardens and roaming herds of red and fallow deer. Dogs are welcome on lead throughout the park and gardens, making it a brilliant destination for a long walk with plenty of sniff breaks.

The deer are a major attraction, but keep your dog well away from them and under close control—deer safety guidance applies in the evidenced public outdoor areas. On-site parking is available with weekday and weekend charges.

The historic hall, museum galleries, café and shop welcome assistance dogs only, so this is very much an outdoor adventure for ordinary pet dogs. Plan your visit around the parkland, gardens and wide gravel paths and you'll have a grand day out with the dog by your side and a straightforward indoor welcome to roam.
