Worcester Cathedral is one of Worcester's standout dog-friendly landmarks, giving you a proper slice of history without needing to leave the dog outside. Sitting above the River Severn right in the city centre, it mixes huge architecture, peaceful grounds, and that slightly awe-struck "everyone whisper and sniff respectfully" energy.

There is plenty to admire inside, from medieval details to royal tombs and stained glass, so it works well as a slower-paced stop between city wandering and lunch. Dogs are welcome in the main cathedral space but not on tours, in the shop, or in the Crypt, and they need to stay on the lead and under control throughout.

A very good option when you want something memorable, central, and genuinely welcoming to dogs inside, with the bonus of cloistered outdoor café tables where dogs can join you too.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside Worcester Cathedral and in the grounds, though they need to stay on the lead and can't join tours, visit the shop, the Crypt, or go inside the Cloister Café itself. They are welcome at café tables in the Cloister or Chapter House, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle while you grab a coffee.
