The Shakespeare Tavern is Bristol's longest-serving ale house. Set in a beautiful Georgian mansion designed by John Strachan in 1722, it transformed into a bustling dockside inn in 1777, serving hardworking ship crews and warehousemen.

Today, we offer a family-friendly welcome that extends to dogs, and a traditional pub food menu designed to satisfy every appetite.

We're also famed for our amazing selection of beer, as well as world wines and flavoured spirits. Stop by for our live music and quiz nights or unwind in our charming beer garden. We also have free Wi-Fi to keep you connected. And with Bristol Harbourside and Queen Square nearby, we're perfectly positioned for a scenic stroll.
