That Beer Place

We are a bottle shop and craft beer bar in Chester city centre that offers a range of local and international beers on tap, as well as a selection of bottled beers and ciders. The bar has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with knowledgeable staff who are happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions about the beers on offer. Customers can enjoy their drinks inside the bar or take them to go. The bar also hosts regular events such as meet the brewer nights, tasting sessions, film and music nights.

TH SHOP
With 8 double fridges full to the gills with beautifully chilled beer and cider we have a little something for everyone. Big, juicy IPAs for the craft beer fan. Traditional crisp, light German lager for the lager fanatic.

THE TAPROOM
We’ll always have at least one lager on tap as well as a sour and a dark beer. We often run a tap specifically for lambic and mixed-fermentation beers as well as less well known styles.

If you’re not sure what to opt for, then why not go for a beer flight – three thirds of any of the beer or cider off our tap list – so you can explore the full range of flavours available.

DOG FRIENDLY
We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a pint in the company of their furry friends. That’s why we’re proud to be a dog-friendly establishment. We welcome well-behaved dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds to come along and enjoy our range of beers and ciders with their owners.

We have plenty of space for dogs to stretch out and relax, both inside and outside the venue. We even have water bowls on hand to ensure that our four-legged visitors stay hydrated while they’re with us.
