Castle Inn

You are assured of a warm welcome at the wonderfully characterful Castle Inn.

Situated in the East Sussex coastal village of Pevensey Bay (just to the east of Eastbourne), this 16th Century building has been tastefully renovated, though with its low ceilings and oak beams it retains its 'old world' pub charm.

The pub has a large suntrap garden which is enjoyed by many during sunny weather, and is great for families, with room for children to play.

Current mine hosts Daina and Paul Martin took over the business in September 2017. Already regular customers, they liked the pub so much that - in the manner of a famous 1970s T.V. commercial - they bought the company!

Offering a varied selection of beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, along with a menu of delicious homemade food utilising local produce wherever possible, plus weekend entertainment, The Castle Inn is a pub that has something to offer everyone, both local and visitor alike. Please note that unfortunately, due to the nature of our Grade II listed building, we are unable to offer dedicated wheelchair access or disabled facilities. However, we will of course be happy to help with managing the steps.
